Araucarias Coffee

We Don't Just Sell Coffee. We Build Relationships.

Direct. Transparent. Reliable. If you're looking for a long-term partner in El Salvador, you're in the right place.

Who We Work With

We work with specialty roasters, importers and green coffee buyers from North America, Europe, Asia and beyond.

Whether you're a small craft roastery sourcing your first Salvadoran lot or an established importer looking for a reliable direct-trade origin — we'd like to hear from you.

Our relationships are built on transparency, consistency and mutual respect. We don't just ship coffee — we share the full story behind every lot: origin, varietal, process, altitude, cupping scores and harvest details. Because we believe that the more you know about the coffee you roast, the better you can serve your customers.

We're looking for partners who care about quality as much as we do — roasters who value traceability, who want to build long-term sourcing relationships, and who see direct trade not as a marketing label but as a better way to do business.

Connect

Tell us about your roastery or green coffee needs, the volume you are looking for, and the flavor profiles you want to cater for your customers. We will reply within 48 business hours with questions, a sample offer, or both.

2

Sample

We ship green coffee samples direct so you can evaluate the coffee before committing to a purchase. Standard sample size is 300g of green coffee per lot, shipped with full lot documentation including variety, process, altitude, SCA score, and harvest year.

3

Order

Once you're happy with the sample, we confirm your allocation, finalize pricing and begin preparing your shipment. We export FOB Acajutla, El Salvador. Pricing is quoted in USD per quintal (100 lbs) and confirmed in writing before any shipment is prepared.

4

Export

We handle all export logistics from our end. You receive full documentation and tracking information for your shipment. Every shipment includes phytosanitary certificate, ICO certificate of origin, packing list, and commercial invoice. Lead time from order confirmation to FOB is typically 3 to 5 weeks.

5

Repeat

The roasters we work with tend to come back season after season. That consistency — for both sides — is what we're building toward. Returning buyers get early access to new lots and harvest previews before we open availability to the wider market.

Lots Available

We can design custom microlots by combining specific plots and varieties from across our farm, based on what you're looking for in the cup and on your menu. Our harvest and inventory are tracked by individual plots and varietals, which lets us select, separate, or blend lots to hit target profiles according to your customer base. Whether you need a single‑origin feature, a competition lot, or a core blend component, we can build it from our variety inventories and keep it repeatable from harvest to harvest.

FAQ

Common questions from roasters and importers.

We can work with orders starting at ~250 kg (5 quintales) for buyers sourcing their first lot from us. For importers and green coffee buyers working at larger scale, we offer full container loads and can discuss multi-harvest contracts. We are flexible on minimums for first orders because we understand that building a new origin relationship takes a trial period on both sides.

We ship samples within 2 weeks of confirming your request. Delivery time depends on your location — typically 7 to 14 days to North America and Europe via courier. Samples are shipped at no cost to you. We ask that you cup and share feedback within 30 days so we can keep your allocation available.

Every export shipment from Finca Montecristo includes a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Salvadoran Ministry of Agriculture, an ICO certificate of origin, a commercial invoice, a packing list, and a full lot sheet with variety, process, altitude, and cupping notes.

Yes. We sell exclusively at premiums above the New York C market price, reflecting the specialty grade and direct trade nature of our lots. Pricing is quoted FOB Acajutla Port in USD per quintal and confirmed in writing before any shipment moves. We do not publish fixed prices because green coffee markets shift with the harvest, but we are always transparent about how we arrive at our numbers. Contact us for a current offer sheet.

Our harvest runs from December through March, which is typical for El Salvador at our altitude. Milling, grading, and quality control are completed between February and April. Export-ready lots are generally available from April onward. We also maintain a small reserve of aged green from the previous harvest for buyers who miss the main availability window. If you want to plan for a specific volume, we recommend reaching out before November so we can discuss forward allocation.

Yes. Finca Montecristo is a single, geo-referenced farm and we can provide polygon mapping of all plots confirming that no deforestation has occurred on our land. We are prepared to supply the documentation required under the EU Deforestation Regulation for any buyer importing into the European Union. If you have specific compliance requirements from your importer or certifier, contact us and we will provide the relevant records.

Both. We work directly with specialty roasters who want to source without an intermediary, and we also work with green coffee importers who handle logistics and distribution on behalf of their roaster clients. If you are an importer building a Central America program, we are happy to discuss exclusive allocation arrangements for specific lots or varieties. The relationship structure is flexible as long as the commitment to quality and traceability is shared.

We cup every lot in-house before it leaves the farm and we do not ship anything that has not been approved against the original sample profile. If a shipment arrives with significant deviation from what was cupped and agreed, we will work with you to find a resolution, whether that means a replacement lot from the following harvest, a pricing adjustment, or another arrangement that makes the situation right. We have built this business on long-term relationships, and we are not interested in one-time transactions. If something goes wrong, we will fix it.
